
About Gujarati Education Society
- The Gujarati Education Society was established in 1936. Boasting a glorious heritage of 84 years, the Society has earned a prominent place in Vidarbha. Now it is one of the oldest and premier institutions in Vidarbha. Ours is a linguistic minority institution. Before independence a group of Gujarati people migrated from Gujarat and settled in Amravati for business purpose. In those days, it was a need of an hour to preserve the Gujarati culture and language.
- Eminent philanthropists, educationists, industrialists founded the society in 1936 and started R. M. Bhatt middle school which imparted education from V to VIII through Gujarati medium. In the year1945 the society renamed it as Manibai Gujarati High School.
- The Society strove for imparting quality education, with dedication, discipline, determination. The untiring efforts, perseverance and insight of the management made the school popular among the native people. Widening its scope and objectives, the society has decided to impart quality education to the native. It also added one more feather to its cap by opening S.T.K. Gujarati Jr. College in 1975. With the changing time and demands of the community, the society also opened another wing of Pre-Primary and Primary English School in the year 1989.
- At present the society offers education of global dimensions from pre-primary to Jr. College level grooming over 3000 students every year. The school has an excellent track record of academic achievements and has sent thousands of students on bright career paths.
